Dr. Shakeri tailors each treatment to each patient's particular needs. The goal is to relieve pain, increase energy, comfort, and improve the overall functioning of your body. Shakeri has over 20 years of experience supporting a wide variety of chiropractic care: Joint pain, TMJ, Scoliosis, Slipped Discs, Carpal Tunnel, Work Injuries, Sports Injuries, Pinched Nerves, Neck and Shoulder pain, Headaches and Migraines, Repetitive Stress Syndrome, Sciatica and Lower Back pain, Car Accident injuries and Whiplash pain. Treatment begins with an initial consultation-examination in which Dr. Shakeri can learn about each patient and any condition they may have. Treatments may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy and/or soft tissue massage. A typical session can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and treatment plans can vary from twice a week for acute conditions to several week intervals. Dr. Shakeri views treatment as an interactive process, he invites all the questions that any new or existing patient may have, he wants each patient to fully understand their treatment plan and progress. He takes time to discuss any bodily concerns and will pay close attention to habits that may contribute to a patient's pain. He often makes recommendations for specific regional exercises, postural changes, or ergonomics improvements that will reinforce the benefits of treatment. It is important to our clinic that very examination and treatment provided by the doctor is done with the patient's full consent and understanding.

Dr Stefan is a Stanford graduate and an alum of Life Chiropractic College West. He enjoys helping people feel better and get healthier through his work. Also a certified Active Release Technique (ART) practitioner, he combines various techniques to suit every individual’s needs. He enjoys working with the diverse population of the Bay Area, everyone from Team In Training participants training for their first marathons to the roller derby ladies of the Bay Area Derby Girls. Mylo grew up in New York and New Jersey and now happily lives in Emeryville. In his free time, Mylo has been doing yoga teacher training, which will be one more way for him to provide excellent health care to the community.
