Dr. Mike grew up in Southern California, graduating from Upland High School in 2003. He continued his education as a Kinesiology major at California Polytechnic University, in San Luis Obispo. Dr. Mike received his degree as Doctor of Chiropractic from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and moved to North San Diego County start Foundation Chiropractic with his wife, Dr. Samantha Dean Fauce, after working as an associate doctor in Costa Mesa, California. Throughout his youth, Dr. Mike kept very active by playing both basketball and baseball during his childhood and high school years. It was during these years that Dr. Mike took an interest in the phenomenal power and ability of the human body. As Dr. Mike started his Chiropractic education, he truly discovered his passion for helping people achieve their full potential. Dr. Mike provides chiropractic care for many Carlsbad Lancer student athletes in addition to his family practice. In his free time, Dr. Mike enjoys playing softball, attending sporting events, and cooking.

My own personal experience with chiropractic began early in my childhood when I so severely injured my lower back that I could barely walk due to excruciating pain. Being a lifelong chiropractic patient, my mother took me to her chiropractor. After the initial treatment, I was able to walk upright and without that "electric shock" type pain. Following the second treatment, I was like new and back to all my normal childhood activities. Since my initial experience to now, my over 25 years as a practicing chiropractor, I have seen first hand the many benefits of conservative chiropractic care. It has always been my personal philosophy that “health is our most valuable asset" but unfortunately we only value it when we lose it! Thus many of our patients are motivated to initially seek our treatment because of common conditions such as; low back or neck pain, disc injuries, headaches, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel, and TMJ dysfunction. Dr. Ron Cottrell has been in private practice in the city of Vista, CA for the past 25 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton where he competed as an NCAA Division I wrestler. He then pursued his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. For more than 20 years he has used his training as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner to assist a variety of community sports organizations including Rancho Buena Vista, Vista, and Oceanside high schools, as well as Vista and Oceanside Pop Warner football. Dr. Cottrell later achieved the highest sports injury certification within the chiropractic field as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sport Physician's (DACBSP).
