Dr. Michael Socha was born in Poland and immigrated to the US at the age of 6. He spent the remainder of his childhood in the culturally diverse northwest suburbs of Addison, IL, where the strong sense of community, and exposure to a breadth of cultures and viewpoints made it a great place to grow up. Dr. Michael decided to become a chiropractor while actively pursuing a pre-dental program at UIC. He suffered a severe injury weightlifting - a lumbar disc herniation - that left him in terrible pain for about 6 months. During that time, all doctors had to offer him were pain killers to treat his symptoms, and the potential for surgery to treat the injury itself. He was introduced to a local chiropractor at the gym in his hometown who was able to help restore his spinal alignment and function and relieve his pain in a relatively short period of time. This transformative experience with chiropractic care, as well as his affinity for the physical nature of the chiropractic profession, made him curious to explore it further. After some deliberation he decided to change course and instead of applying to dental school, he transitioned into applying into chiropractic school, a move he describes as choosing a “calling over a career.” He was able to finish his schooling at UIC with a Bachelors of Science in Finance with minor in Accounting before pursuing his passion of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. What patients appreciate most about Dr. Michael is his attention to detail, precision, and his dedication to the craft. When a patient shows up ready to dedicate themselves to improving their health and wellness, Dr. Michael is always ready and willing to meet them with the same dedication, time, and care. Dr. Michael defines wellness as a holistic experience where one is able to both mentally and physically perform their daily objectives with ease; a state of mind where you can focus, perform, and rest without disruption.

Dr. Steffan spent his undergraduate career at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, the study of human movement. Dr. Steffan has truly found his passion for not only getting his patients out of pain, but educating them and giving them the tools to prevent their pain from coming back in the future.

Dr. Watkin is a Lake Zurich IL chiropractor who has been actively in practice for over 20 years. After earning a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in Canada (where he played Junior hockey as a goaltender), he moved to Chicago and began his studies at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. Dr. Watkin now serves his community as a chiropractor in the Evolve Lake Zurich office. When Dr. Jeffrey Watkin is not taking care of our Evolve Chiropractic patients, he likes to indulge his passion for sports and spend time with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
