She first got interested in chiropractic after she had a diving accident when she was in high school. She suffered from neck pain and headaches until her first adjustment with Directional Non-Force Technique®. She found that her pain that she suffered from for eight years went away within three visits and never came back. Dr. Hawes then started learning Directional Non-Force Technique® from Dr. John, the head of the technique and practiced in his office for over a year before deciding to open her own practice in Chico.
