Born in Michigan, Dr. Raj Desai, D.C., has called the Northwest suburbs of Chicago home for more than half his life. He is proud to serve as the chiropractic director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Forest Park and enjoys providing quality care and health education to patients and community members. After earning his bachelor's degree in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois, Dr. Raj went on to complete his doctorate of chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, where he was a member of both the Student American Chiropractic Association and the Motion Palpation Club. In addition to his doctorate, Dr. Raj also holds certification in acupuncture, Kinesio Tape, clinical nutrition, functional rehabilitation and Applied Kinesiology. In his free time, Dr. Raj likes to spend time with his wife, daughter and their dog. He's a fan of traveling, trying different foods, playing and watching sports (he's an avid Michigan fan!) and working out. Dr. Patrick Malartsik is a dedicated chiropractor and healthcare professional who graduated from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL, in 2011. During his time at university, Dr. Malartsik distinguished himself in active care, functional rehabilitation, and motion palpation techniques. He is a certified provider of Active Release Technique (ART) for full-body care and holds certification in the McKenzie Method A-C. Dr. Malartsik is also certified in the Webster Technique, a specialized chiropractic method for pregnant women that focuses on optimizing pelvic alignment to promote a healthier pregnancy and delivery experience. In addition to his hands-on modalities, Dr. Malartsik integrates nutrition, diet, and supplements into his treatment plans to help his patients achieve optimal health and healing from the inside out. He is committed to advancing his expertise and is currently pursuing the Functional Rehabilitation Diplomat (ACRB) program, advanced ART courses, and further credentials in the McKenzie Method. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Malartsik enjoys traveling, reading, weight lifting, playing basketball and golf, and cherishing time with his wife and sons.
