Dr. Justin Toulouse studied kinesiology at San Diego State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in 2010. After college Dr. Toulouse worked as a certified personal trainer and eventually went on to become a certified strength and conditioning coach. It is during this time; he developed his passion for strength and conditioning and sports medicine. Dr. Toulouse then graduated from the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2019. While in the graduate program he enrolled into the sports medicine emphasis tract. This provided an opportunity to hone his skills as a sports medicine chiropractor. With the knowledge and experience gained from the fitness industry and the skills developed in sports medicine, Dr Toulouse takes an orthopedic approach with his patient examinations and treatment plans. Specific muscle work, chiropractic adjustments and active rehab are Dr. Toulouse's main three treatment modalities. Passive modalities like electrical muscle stimulation and heat/cold packs are utilized when the patient's symptoms are acute, or they are experiencing a flare-up. It is Dr. Toulouse's intent is to help people recover from their injuries/conditions, while motivating them to live a more positive and healthier lifestyle. Whether you are an athlete of any level or someone who is experiencing general pain, his goal is to provide quality care for every aspect of your health, fitness, and performance. He is an avid snowboarder and surfer; he also enjoys mountain biking and hiking.
