Dr. Allen Harrison, D.C. Why I get out of bed in the morning? Every day I hear story after story from patients and parents explaining how Chiropractic care has changed their life and the immeasurable impact it has had on their entire family. Every day the results we see with Chiropractic amaze even me, and I make it my mission to show up every day dedicated to improving the health of as many families as possible. What led me to Chiropractic and NUCCA? Chiropractic discovered me all the way back in middle school. I have been under Chiropractic care on and off since I was about 12 years old due to various sports injuries. I always thought that being a Chiropractor would be an awesome career because my Chiropractor at the time was the Chiropractor for Guns n’ Roses and Bon Jovi, how cool is that! When I was in college I was involved in a car accident that left me with terrible sciatic pain down both of my legs. I sought out treatment with Chiropractors, PTs, MD’s and massage therapists, but there was no lasting relief from the pain and it was starting to interfere with my job as a personal trainer. Through a referral, I found myself in the office of a NUCCA Chiropractor in my college town. The NUCCA adjustment was so gentle that I did not believe the doctor had done anything. Two days later the sciatic pain that I had for months started to lessen in intensity and was completely gone within a week. I entered Chiropractic college about 3 months after my first NUCCA correction and have dedicated my Chiropractic career to the detection and correction of the upper cervical subluxation through NUCCA Chiropractic care. NUCCA Experience I am in my final steps for full NUCCA Board Certification, an honor less than 40 NUCCA doctors have obtained since NUCCA was founded in 1966. NUCCA Board Certification is the most demanding and rigorous testing of a doctor’s adjusting and x-ray work within the field of Chiropractic. Through this process of x-ray film submission, my work is constantly checked and evaluated by other Certified NUCCA doctors to ensure that I exceed NUCCA Board standards. The NUCCA Certification process ensures our patients are guaranteed to receive a precise upper cervical NUCCA correction at every visit.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and working in orthopedic research at UC Davis, I realized I wanted to help people more directly. My search for a lasting solution led me to chiropractic school, where hands-on training transformed not only my understanding of health but also my own body. As my pain faded and my vitality returned, I knew I’d found my purpose. In 2018, I opened my own practice in South San Francisco, focusing on the Gonstead Method, a biomechanically precise approach that finds and corrects the root cause of pain. Around the same time, I accepted a position as an associate professor at the chiropractic college where I trained, allowing me to stay on the cutting edge of research and technique while mentoring the next generation of chiropractors. Today, balancing patient care and education keeps me deeply engaged in both the science and art of chiropractic healing.
