Dr Stanton Hom is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a bachelors of science in Chemistry/Life Science/Pre-Medicine and was fortunate enough to be selected for an internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was afforded the opportunity to witness brain surgery, open-heart surgery and many other wonders of modern medicine. It was also here where he decided not to pursue medical school. After a meritorious career in the military and upon arriving in San Diego in 2005, he had the incredible opportunity to live with his brother, Steve, and become his chiropractic patient. This transformed his life to a point where PTSD, severe digestive problems, chronic pain and stress became a thing of the past. His own self-healing, inspired him to take on a new mission of chiropractic. Dr Stan graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2010 and has since served the San Diego community with excellent chiropractic care. He specializes in the whole family: from preconception through birth, infants, childhood and beyond. Together, he and his team have built one of the top clinics in Southern California.

I consider myself fortunate to have grown up in a chiropractic family. Both of my parents attended chiropractic college, and though my mom dropped out to take care of the kids and my dad never practiced (he became an electrical engineer), I have been adjusted my whole life. In fact, it wasn’t until I was a teenager that I found out most people have never been treated by a chiropractor. I am still amazed. Growing up I played a lot of sports. Now I am not saying I was clumsy, but I had my fair share of injuries. But, instead of going home and taking drugs for my pain, I simply asked my dad for an adjustment and most of the pain was gone immediately. It saddened me that my friends would go home with injuries and suffer far longer than they should have. When people ask me why I became a chiropractor I tell them that it just felt natural to me. It’s like breathing. I couldn’t imagine being happy doing anything else. I graduated from The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1997 and shortly thereafter started working with my mentor Dr. Gary Vitullo in Glendale California. I decided to work with Gary because he practiced a form of chiropractic called Gonstead. The doctors who practice this art are, I believe, the most technically competent of anyone in our field. By this I mean that they are masters at adjusting the spine, which is…… what chiropractors do. In all the years I have practiced, the core of what I do and how I treat my patients is still Gonstead based. For the last several years I have made Nutrition a big part of my practice. I have really enjoyed helping people regain their health by cleaning up their diet, removing foods they are allergic to, and getting them on a designed clinical vitamin program. I have to tell you that chiropractic is an amazing tool for getting people healthy, but when I started using designed clinical nutrition in my office I started seeing real miracles in people’s health. In the year 2000 I had the opportunity to take over Dr. Terry Allen’s practice here in Escondido. He had been working here for 18 years and I feel fortunate to have followed in his footsteps. Now I have been here several years myself, and I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed the people of North County San Diego. Dr. Hoon Lim, D.C. has been serving the San Diego, CA community for over 35 years at his clinic “Synergy Integrated Health”. In practice he has incorporated the latest natural approaches in nutrition, chiropractic, hormone balance, fitness, and weight loss.
