During his Chicago childhood Dr. Sean was in and out of the hospital and constantly on rounds of medication due to severe stomach pain. At age 13 he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and continued to try treatment after failed treatment through age 23. When he decided to pursue a career in holistic medicine, he didn’t realize how far reaching the benefits would be — chiropractic has allowed him to live a life without pain. Since he began paying attention to his spinal health and diet, Dr. Sean no longer experiences Crohn’s related flare-ups. After graduating with his BS in biomedical science from Grand Valley State University, Dr. Sean earned his master’s degree in acupuncture and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Science. During his time in chiropractic school, he was an active member of the Adjusting Club, Rehab Club, as well as the ACA and ABCA associations. To promote his own wellness he follows the same advice he gives patients: he exercises, plays golf, tries new clean eating recipes and spends time with family and friends. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a source of inspiration for Dr. Dawson, and he especially loves the quote, “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step,” which he applies to all area of his life.

Dr. Timothy Yon earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in 2002. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Psychology. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr. Yon has completed a vast amount of training in manual medicine, functional rehabilitation, sports injuries, nutrition, and orthopedics. He is a member of The American Chiropractic Association’s Sports Council, The American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, and The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. He is trained in Cox® Flexion-Distraction Technique. He is also a Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner, Certified in Graston Technique® and Active Release Therapy® for soft tissue. Dr. Yon is involved in MMA – Mixed Martial Arts and has had the honor of treating many Amateur and Professional Fighters (UFC, Strikeforce). Outside of the office, Dr. Tim also enjoys training in Mixed Martial Arts / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai Kickboxing, learning new recipes on the grill, and keeping up with his son and daughter’s extracurricular activities.
