Since 1999, Dr. William D. Hamilton has proudly continued the tradition of caring through Appalachian family chiropractic, a practice previously established by Dr. Ronald Chambers. Dr. Chambers, along with his family, helped thousands of individuals return to their jobs and families more comfortably and healthily through drug-free chiropractic aid in function and healing, right here beside Kingsport's historic Church Circle. Dr. Hamilton, born and raised in the Kingsport area, is delighted to raise his family here as well. From an early age, Dr. Hamilton became disillusioned with conventional western medicine due to its poor management and outcomes in treating his parents, as well as its lack of focus on prevention. He pursued Pre-Chiro/Pre-Med studies at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, completed his Bachelor of Science in Biological Studies at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, and earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, GA, where he honed his skills in Appalachia chiropractic.

Hello, Dr. Heather here. A little about me, I’m a Southeastern Ohio native and an Air Force veteran with a diesel mechanic husband. We have a little boy and he loves his dogs, cat, and 4 chickens. I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City and then we moved to East Tennessee. Why? Because it’s beautiful and the people are great. Dr. Robert Pannell is an East Tennessee native and is a third generation chiropractor. His grandfather founded Pannell Chiropractic in 1921. Dr. Pannell has practiced in Nashville and Kingsport and has served on Tennessee Board of Chiropractic. He spends his free time in the outdoors. I love learning from Dr. Pannell all of the things “they don’t teach in school anymore” and showing him how to use the digital X-ray equipment.

From an early age, I’ve had a passion for helping others. I was always the person who wanted everyone to feel their best and have a great time. If someone had a problem, I wanted to help solve it. This desire to make a difference is what drew me to volunteer work. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Rotarian, a Tournament of Roses White Suiter, and a member of a mountain search and rescue team. I’ve always been fascinated by the biology and physiology of the human body. While I initially considered a career in medicine, I realized that traditional medical settings—especially hospitals—weren’t the right fit for me. My lifestyle has always revolved around exercise and nutrition, so when a friend introduced me to chiropractic, it immediately felt like the perfect path. For over 30 years, I’ve had the honor of helping thousands of patients improve their health, including many who had tried everything else without success. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone “light up” when their health is restored and their quality of life improves. Chiropractic care allows me to make a meaningful difference every day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with my patients.

Dr. Timothy E. Salyers, D.C. graduated from Sullivan South High School here in Kingsport, TN in 1983. After high school, Dr. Salyers completed his undergraduate prerequisite studies at East TN State University. In 1990, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. Upon graduation, he began working with Drs. Lonnie and Melvin Jackson. In December of 1992, Dr. Salyers purchased Brookside Chiropractic and has now been in practice for over 30 years. Dr. Salyers has received numerous Reader's Choice Awards for "Best Chiropractor" from the Kingsport Times News. He is a member of the TN Chiropractic Association and past member of Advanced Marketing for Chiropractors. He has received the AMC, Eagle award, A-Plus Achievement award, and the Silver and Bronze achievement awards. Dr. Salyers attends classes yearly to be updated on the latest advances and techniques in chiropractic care. Dr. Timothy E. Salyers has been married to his wife Tiffany for 27 years. They have two beautiful daughters. Dr. Salyers is very active in his church, holding two offices and teaching Sunday School. When Dr. Salyers is not in the office taking care of his patients, he loves to golf and spend time with his family.

As a child, my mother was helped immensely with migraine headaches, neck and back pain by her chiropractor. I was so impressed with this that, as a 7th grader, I decided to pursue a chiropractic career. I am a 1988 graduate of Western States Chiropractic College in Portland OR. I obtained a Licensed Massage Therapist status while attending Chiropractic College, and was able to supplement my “hands on” experience by working with athletes and other patients for years prior to graduating as a chiropractor. From 1988 through 1992, in addition to offering standard chiropractic treatment, I was able to run a rehab center for injury recovery. In 1992, my wife Allison and I opened our own clinic, which for over 30 years was staffed with associate doctors of Chiropractic, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists and Massage therapists. I enjoy treating all kinds of conditions involving the muscles, bones, joints, and nerves. I am also passionate about health and nutrition. If we give our bodies what they need, we can most often times, avoid medication. Patients often comment on the thoroughness of my care. A careful look at the musculoskeletal system from the feet to the head is a must when treating many cases. I give credit to the Lord Jesus Christ for the gifts He has given me in being compassionate and skilled in using my hands and mind to assist in patient’s recovery. I also enjoy helping patients to try to find answers to their health issues, when they have hit a “dead end.” At times people have referred to me as a Chiropractic Detective. My moto is that “If you don’t know exactly what the condition is, then you can’t be specific at treating is effectively.” So because of this, I “go the extra mile” so to speak in performing in office testing and sending out as needed for labs, imaging, or opinions from other professionals to be part of a team to expedite recovery.
