Dr. Thomas MacNeill-Zimmerman, D.C., serves as the chiropractic director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Hyde Park. Raised outside of Boston, Dr. Thomas headed to the Windy City to complete his doctorate of chiropractic; he now loves city life and his community on the north side of Chicago. An athlete all of his life, Dr. Thomas held 10 varsity letters in high school and earned a record in the decathlon. But at the young age of 18, he suffered a spinal fracture and was forced to turn down his chance to play college football. After his injury, he began to receive regular chiropractic adjustments and within two years, Dr. Thomas was able to join his university’s track team. He went on to become the captain of the team and established a new school record in the javelin throw. Chiropractic not only saved his spine, but gave him hope for an active future. Discipline, dedication and attitude are the keys to success in life, love and long-term health. Dr. Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree in sports biology from Springfield College and his doctorate of chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois. In addition to his doctorate, Dr. Thomas is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), and is certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) and acupuncture. Passionate about the body’s ability to self-heal, Dr. Thomas strives to improve the lives of as many people possible through education and chiropractic treatments. During his time at university, Dr. Malartsik distinguished himself in active care, functional rehabilitation, and motion palpation techniques. He is a certified provider of Active Release Technique (ART) for full-body care and holds certification in the McKenzie Method A-C. Dr. Malartsik is also certified in the Webster Technique, a specialized chiropractic method for pregnant women that focuses on optimizing pelvic alignment to promote a healthier pregnancy and delivery experience. In addition to his hands-on modalities, Dr. Malartsik integrates nutrition, diet, and supplements into his treatment plans to help his patients achieve optimal health and healing from the inside out.
