Dr. Guajardo
General Chiropractic
McAllen, TX
Dr. Santiago Guajardo’s father, Dr. Samuel G. Guajardo JR DC originally opened Guajardo Chiropractic Center in the Rio Grande Valley in 1984. Dr. Guajardo began his journey of freeing people from chronic pain after he himself was treated by a chiropractor in Ohio. Dr. Guajardo was a professor at Ohio State and suffered from continuous pain. A colleague referred him to a chiropractor. The moment he received his first treatment he soon began to recover. Amazed with the power of the healing hands, he immediately switched his profession from academia to chiropractic. It was his mission to heal those who suffered from chronic pain like himself. He moved his family from Ohio to Texas to attend Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) in Houston, TX. After graduating from TCC, Dr. Guajardo moved his family to the Rio Grande Valley to begin practicing. He was a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was a volunteer fireman and a police officer as well. A volunteer coach in various sports, Dr. Guajardo brought his expertise to his team. He stressed the importance of pre-game stretches and treated any injuries right on the field- he would even treat the opposing team's players if needed. As a matter of fact, one of his players was so amazed and inspired by these treatments, that he himself pursued the field of chiropractic. Dr. Samuel Guajardo employed his siblings to run the family-owned clinic. After 2 years of running this successful clinic, Dr. Guajardo was called home and the clinic had to close its doors soon after. Dr. Santiago Guajardo followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in Chiropractic relieving patients of their pain for over a decade in Houston, TX. Recently, Dr. Santiago Guajardo also moved his family back to the Rio Grande Valley. His "Pops" was looking out for him because to Dr. Guajardo’s amazement, the suite where his father practiced was available. Following his late father’s vision, Dr. Santiago Guajardo employed his children, brother-in law, and nieces to help him run their family-owned clinic. We invite you to come visit Dr. Santiago Guajardo. He has an uplifted bright spirit, is committed to his family, and is a faithful servant to the people who seek natural wellness and healing.
