Dr. Ashley was born in Ohio and raised in North Carolina. She has been an athlete all her life including at the collegiate level. She experienced several injuries throughout her soccer career that led to many painful surgeries. As a result of not having the function or mobility she once did, she began exploring the idea of going to chiropractic school to help people in need of alternative options to get them through their struggles, and allow them to be able to live their lives on their own terms. She graduated with a Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic and holds a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Methodist University and an M.S. from East Carolina University. She has been trained through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is a Webster and perinatal certified chiropractor. In addition, she has trained through Epic Pediatrics and The Pediatric Experience where she obtained a certificate of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic.
