He was inspired to pursue chiropractic as a career after receiving successful treatment for a back injury he sustained while playing football in college. Following this experience, he graduated with honors from Life West Chiropractic College in 1986. Dr. Oranje initially practiced in Pittsburg, California, specializing in sports injuries, rehabilitation, and serving as a qualified Medical evaluator for industrial injuries for the state of California and the employment development department. In 2008, he obtained certification in brain traumatology related to high-speed impact injuries, such as those from motor vehicle collisions. Additionally, he is a nationally certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, performing DOT physicals for school bus, ambulance, and truck drivers.
