Dr. Leroy W. Dickman II, known to his patients as Dr. Roy, is the founder and chiropractor of Compass Family Chiropractic, where he guides families toward lasting health by restoring balance and resilience. His journey into chiropractic care was shaped by personal experience—a high school football injury, an initial frustrating encounter with chiropractic, and ultimately, a transformational experience after his fiancée (now wife) introduced him to a chiropractor who changed his perspective on health. This pivotal moment led Dr. Roy to shift his focus from medical school to chiropractic, driven by a passion for uncovering the root cause of dysfunction rather than simply addressing symptoms. Dr. Roy holds a BS in Health and Wellness Management from Athens State University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. Committed to advancing his expertise in family and perinatal care, he obtained his Webster Certification through the ICPA in May 2018 and completed his Perinatal Certification in January 2023—an intensive program consisting of nine seminars and 72 hours of continued education. Dr. Ryan Gutierrez was born and raised in Raton, New Mexico, and his passion for chiropractic care began at just 11 years old. After a sledding accident left him with a dislocated bone in his foot, a local chiropractor realigned it—and Dr. Ryan was instantly pain-free. That experience sparked a lifelong desire to help others heal naturally through chiropractic care. Dr. Ryan attended New Mexico State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. While at NMSU, he met his wife, Heather, and the two were married in 2002. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 2007. During his time at Palmer, he served as Vice President of the Activator Club and achieved Advanced Proficiency Rating in Activator Methods, a distinction he has held since 2006. After graduation, Dr. Ryan and Heather opened Family First Chiropractic in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where they served their community for 18 wonderful years. Dr. Ryan was voted the Best Chiropractor in Las Cruces, NM from 2021-2025. In 2025, they brought their experience, passion, and family-centered care to St. Augustine, Florida, opening Full Bloom Chiropractic. Dr. Ryan is committed to ongoing education and advanced chiropractic techniques. He holds certifications in Facial Movement Taping Levels 1 & 2 through RockTape, as well as Webster Technique and Perinatal Certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
