Dr Michael D. Cox Doctor of Chiropractic, is a highly awarded Cum Laudi graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Michael started his journey in natural healing more than a decade ago when given a prognosis by several medical doctors of never walking again unassisted. Michael began his own healing process by returning to the discipline of martial arts switching to Tai Chi and Chi Gong as the core. His master imparted some principles and ideas of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupressure, as well as eastern physical therapy. At the time of injury, he was in his first career working as a Vice President for Bank of New York Mellon. While traveling to India Michael would learn of Ayurvedic medicine for his condition. Using available research and expertise originating from a combination of Chiropractic, Complementary and Alternative medicines, Nutrition, and exercise Michael overcame his disabled condition, beat the prognosis, and threw away the cane, crutch, and brace. He returned to a normal nondisabled life within 18 months. Helping others overcome similar problems became his passion. Michael launched into his second career by taking a year of biological science courses at Seminole State College earning a biology lab technician degree, as well as studying abroad in the Peruvian Amazon. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, at Florida’s campus. This campus is a highly energetic learning environment packed with numerous after-hours study and technique clubs. The perfect environment for a self-motivated learner with a desire to be a sponge of medical knowledge and health insights. Dr Michael now leverages all these past experiences and multidisciplinary natural focused skillset for the health and wellbeing of his patients. The Japanese have a concept for someone who has found their useful purpose in life, it is called an Ikigai. It is something they love, they are good at, and people need. Dr Michael, founder of Insight Chiropractic, is proud to identify his Ikigai in the healing arts of Chiropractic and Natural Medicine and is happy to share key insights he has learned with his patients.

Following the completion of a pre-medical undergraduate college education (including courses in biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, psychology and related lab work), Dr. Pearson completed four additional years of professional study at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and was also inducted in to the Honors Fraternity of Pi Tau Delta. He has taken advanced courses in a multitude of different techniques, such as Gonstead, Thompson, Logan Basic and extremity adjusting.
