Dr. Richard Robinson has over 40 years of expertise in gentle, effective chiropractic techniques. Your initial office visit will include a detailed orthopedic, neurologic, and chiropractic exam to determine the full extent of your injuries. Dr. Robinson will then take the appropriate digital X-rays and then explain your X-ray findings to you. Once you fully understand the cause and effect of your injuries, a gentle and effective spinal adjustment will be performed. You can expect a 10, 20, 30% improvement of your pain level on the first visit. On your second visit, we will discuss a future treatment regimen. Dr. Cobb has always wanted to help people, and when he suffered a back injury, he was amazed at how chiropractic helped him without any medications or surgery. Continuing care only increased his interest in the field. Healing quickly and returning to his active lifestyle without pain or restrictions convinced him to return to school and earn his chiropractic degree. Tampa chiropractor Dr. Cobb's quest to learn more about his field has led him to continue taking courses, webinars, and other methods. Nothing has been more life-changing than his Myofascial Release program with John Barnes, a renowned physical therapist. It changed how he viewed recovery and the human body and completely changed his practice focus, introducing him to Connective Tissue Release (CTR). Dr. Cobb has earned Expert status as a John Barnes MFR practitioner after almost 10 years and 300+ hours of training. CTR focuses on the importance of treating the connective tissue before adding other methods like chiropractic. In many injuries or chronic pain cases, the joints affected are unable to move due to the restriction of the connective tissue that has formed in the area. Dr. Cobb releases the tension with CTR, allowing motion to return to the targeted area. Dr. Cobb personally witnessed the benefits of CTR, having spent eight years managing chronic back pain. After receiving CTR treatment for a hip replacement in 2017 and then battling cancer the following year, Dr. Cobb's pain-free lifestyle is a testament to this therapy. After 10 days he was back on the golf course all thanks to daily CTR treatment he received post hip surgery. Regarding his cancer challenge, "There is no way I would've managed daily radiation and weekly chemo visits and still go to work without CTR. I was the only patient that could still eat a regular diet while others were struggling with a liquid diet. I give credit for my speedy recoveries to the consistent CTR treatment I received."
