A graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic with a background in biology and chemistry, Dr. Holden has been helping patients heal naturally since 2005. Her passion for chiropractic began as a teenager when she witnessed her mother recover from a back injury through chiropractic care—a moment that inspired her lifelong belief in the body’s ability to heal itself. With years of experience serving patients across Georgia and Tennessee, Dr. Holden brings both clinical skill and personal warmth to every visit. She focuses on helping patients restore balance, reduce pain, and rediscover their best quality of life.

Hello! I’m Dr. Paxton, and I am glad you stopped by. I’m a native of Rome, GA where I grew up as a Chiropractic kid. I was adjusted just moments after birth. My father is a Chiropractor, and my late brother was a Chiropractor. I am married to Jess, the woman of my dreams, and we have three amazing, healthy, and well-adjusted boys: Caleb, Eli, and Isaiah. I graduated from Life University College of undergraduate studies, in Marietta, GA with a B.S. degree in nutrition; this was key in helping me develop a vast understanding about healthy dietary habits to assist in optimal wellness. I then continued on at Life University to the College of Chiropractic where I obtained my doctorate (D.C.) in Chiropractic. I also hold an Emergency Medical Technician license from Coosa Valley Tech in Rome, GA. When combined with my experience, I am well-versed in the human body and what it takes to reach true, optimal health. My wife and I opened up Pax Family Chiropractic in July 2010. Before that, I worked as a Chiropractor in Calhoun, GA. I consider it a true honor to serve our community through Chiropractic. I am often asked the question, “Dr. Paxton, what areas do you specialize in?” My answer is simple, “I specialize in people with spines!” Throughout the years, I have helped people with many conditions ranging from headaches, neck and back pain, pregnancy discomfort, neurodivergencies, dysautonomia, acid reflux, and much more. I look forward to helping you along your health journey as well!

Dr. McCarver combines technical expertise with a warm, compassionate approach, making patients feel comfortable and empowered in their journey toward wellness.

Dr. Chaz McCants earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and his Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas where he excelled in biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, and patient care. He is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Physician and has a Certificate of Attainment from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has extensive training in several chiropractic techniques and specializes in spinal corrective care. Dr. McCants practiced 17 years before moving to Chattanooga and joining the Total Health Chiropractic team where he has been the Director of the Hixson office and is now seeing patients at the Fort Oglethorpe office. Dr. McCants embraces the concept that "health comes from within," and believes that healthy people have physical energy, emotional balance, and are spiritually aware. He has always lived the healthy "Chiropractic way of life" and found that becoming a Chiropractor was a natural path for him to take. He loves what he does and encourages his patients to participate in regular Chiropractic care, as well as incorporate proper posture, rest, exercise, stretching and a positive healthy attitude into their daily lives. Dr. McCants enjoys treating patients of all ages, including babies and children, and has adjusted all three of his children within minutes of their births. He also treats pregnant women, sports injuries in athletes, and senior citizens. He places clinical emphasis upon discovering the causation of spinal and other health related disorders, with a focus upon detecting, correcting, and preventing subluxation to help improve the quality of their lives. Dr. McCants has a compassionate heart, is a great listener, and enjoys talking with his patients, helping them to understand how specific chiropractic adjustments can help to reduce pain, improve range of motion and posture, boost the immune system, and enhance their health and overall well-being. He is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized Chiropractic care which is essential for each patient to achieve optimal health. He is enthusiastic about helping patients realize their full potential by providing the Chiropractic care that is best suited to their individual lifestyle needs. When Dr. McCants is out of the office, he enjoys staying active by playing golf, snowboarding, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Nelson

Dr. Joel Nelson was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and brings a strong background in both science and patient care. He studied Pre-Med at Niagara University before working as a Research Scientist at the University at Buffalo and the University of Utah, where he focused on autoimmune disorders and anti-inflammatory mediators. His unique combination of research experience and clinical expertise allows him to provide advanced, evidence-based chiropractic care to patients in Fort Oglethorpe.
