Dr. Mark W. Baker was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army and was awarded an R.O.T.C. scholarship during his undergraduate studies at Indiana State University. He was certified as a Master Fitness Instructor through the Army and was selected to compete for the Army’s Marathon and Winter Biathlon teams. In 1999, Dr. Baker graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. Upon graduation, he worked in Dublin, Ireland where he had the opportunity to work with many of the athletes from the National Athletic Stadium. He worked with some of the world's top therapists and honed his skills treating the nation's top athletes as they prepared for the 2000 Olympics. He tapped this experience in 2001 to work with educators and doctors in varied locations around the world including Jamaica, Alaska, Indiana, and Illinois. In 2003, Dr. Baker founded Elite Healthcare in Chicago where he specializes in working with athletes and has earned the reputation for being a highly skilled practitioner and educator. An athlete himself, Dr. continues to compete in Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions and is passionate about helping his patients achieve optimal health.
