I am not your typical chiropractor. I will never claim to be able to "fix" anyone with a chiropractic adjustment. What I will do is teach you about your body, how it moves, how it's working for you (or not working for you) and what it needs from YOU to work even better. Then, we can add manual therapy to facilitate and maximize healing. After graduating from Cal Poly with a degree in Animal Science, I decided to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps and go to chiropractic school. I attended Palmer West in San Jose and while there I spent countless weekends traveling to attend intensive courses put on by physical therapists, podiatrists, movement specialists, mobility specialists and, of course, other non-traditional chiropractors. All of these extra-curricular experiences led me to realize that as a chiropractor I could do SO much more than "crack people all day long". I could genuinely guide people how they can truly fix [themselves]! I became a non-traditional chiropractor specializing in human movement and rehab. In 2019, I became a mama to a sweet baby girl … … and gained a whole new level of appreciation and respect for the human body through my pregnancy and postpartum journey (not to mention mompreneuring)! Because of my background as a movement and rehab specialist, I thought I was fully prepared to address postpartum head on - but realized that there were still things specific to postpartum that I didn't know anything about! And if I had these questions about postpartum recovery, how many women without my extensive level of education in health, wellness and rehab of the human body had these questions, as well? So I did the only thing I could imagine and I formally educated myself in postpartum recovery, rehab and return to fitness! I blend this education with my style of care that has always been heavily rooted in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Rehabilitative Barefoot Training. And I truly believe everything had been leading to this moment - where I can help, guide and support moms through THEIR postpartum journey.

For several years Dr. David Sedghi lived, practiced and taught in the Bay Area, but he was born and raised here in SLO and home had been calling him back for some time. He discovered the power of Chiropractic after working as a laborer post undergrad and becoming injured. After one adjustment, he couldn’t believe how much better he felt. He then pursued a Chiropractic career in the Bay Area and after five years, decided to come back home to help the community that had helped to raise him. Dr. Sedghi moved back, moved his practice to San Luis Obispo, and is dedicated to giving and serving this community!

With a passion for natural healing and healthy living, Dr. Troy Smith, D.C. graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2007. He has been practicing in the 5 Cities Area since 2008. In an effort to better share his vision of health and healing with his patients, he opened Pismo Beach Family Wellness in 2017. Dr. Smith is well versed in low force, instrument, drop-table and traditional Chiropractic techniques. He treats all ages, all conditions, and all areas of the the body. He is Webster certified for pre-natal care as well as being a certified Rock-Doc for RockTape. He integrates soft tissue therapies, exercise, nutrition, herbal medicine and mindfulness into his treatments. Dr. Smith speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys running, surfing, martial arts, and playing guitar.
