She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic and has a diverse background that includes work as a group fitness coach, rehabilitation intern, and service in the military. Dr. Timothy Yon earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in 2002. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Psychology. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr. Yon has completed a vast amount of training in manual medicine, functional rehabilitation, sports injuries, nutrition, and orthopedics. He is a member of The American Chiropractic Association’s Sports Council, The American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, and The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. He is trained in Cox® Flexion-Distraction Technique. He is also a Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner, Certified in Graston Technique® and Active Release Therapy® for soft tissue. Dr. Yon is involved in MMA – Mixed Martial Arts and has had the honor of treating many Amateur and Professional Fighters (UFC, Strikeforce). Outside of the office, Dr. Tim also enjoys training in Mixed Martial Arts / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai Kickboxing, learning new recipes on the grill, and keeping up with his son and daughter’s extracurricular activities.
