He then came across Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) in Los Angeles, which offered a dual program of study in both acupuncture and chiropractic. In his second trimester at SCUHS, Dr Ryan attended his first Gonstead seminar. He was immediately blown away and for the first time understood what chiropractic was really all about. As he progressed through school he decided to put 100 percent of his focus on chiropractic so that he could learn and develop his skills as a Gonstead chiropractor, which requires many additional hours of study and training.
